ventured up to DC on Allyson and Eric's wedding day whispering in the car, "please don't rain, please don't rain, please don't rain!" Well, this one was unavoidable. Luckily for these two though, both the ceremony and reception were indoors. And for the record, I only had to turn around in my car once this trip to DC...I didn't even get caught in one of those traffic circles! Aren't you proud?! hah!
e're running through the rain, I look over and watch Nicole say to Alex, "this is fun!" with the biggest smile on her face. This is what a wedding is all about. Just going with it and enjoying it! Yes, they had spent the past few hours getting ready watching the rain pour on and off all day, but they did a first sight, saw each other, and got to enjoy the rest of the day's events together...even running through the rain on their wedding day :)
eality of DC traffic really set in for me for the first time as I journeyed up from Fredericksburg into the big city on a Wednesday night for this session. I don't know why it seemed so easy in my head when we were planning it! I mean, I just assumed if I made it up 95N with no traffic, I'd be golden once I got into the city...because, I mean, everyone that works in the city, lives in the city, so why would they be out in traffic? Boy, did I get a wake up call! DC is crazy at 5:30pm! I thought I'd be ok with city driving because I grew up in Houston driving! This was NOTHING like Houston! It was Crazy Town.
