Sweet Little Lucy | Pet Photography

Two days ago, I had a gap in my Texas schedule, so I planned a surprise visit to go see my grandma and uncle up in Oklahoma! And turns out, it was actually a complete surprise! Nothing about me going up there got leaked! It was so great!! I was so sad to have to leave to fast, and I can't wait to go back. I haven't gotten to see them since the fall...it was long overdue. But looks like Joel and I will get to make it back to Oklahoma later this year! It's strange having to plan so far in advance now that we live thousands of miles away.

Anyways, the short time I was there, I had the pleasure of meeting my uncle's new dog, Lucy, and even got to take a few photos of her! From the moment I laid eyes on her, I was in love. She's so gentle and sweet! And she's completely full grown...doesn't she look like a puppy?! AHHH!! Finally a dog that looks like an eternal puppy!!

So heeeeere's Lucy!! Enjoy!

"Epic" Snow on the East Coast!

So last week's post was about baking cherry pie because there was so much snow outside. Well, surprise! There's even MORE now! On Friday and Saturday, the snow was practically nonstop. It was just beautiful falling down. I caught myself several times just staring out the window taking it all in, with a warm glass of tea in hand, of course :) And naturally, since it was so gorgeous outside, I dressed up my studley hubby to go outside and take some snow photos! Thanks Joel! And by the way, these were all shot in our backyard because we were snowed in until this afternoon. While the neighborhood was out shoveling snow, i was doing my part by working hard to make some homemade chocolate chip cookies! haha, go figure. Anyways, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show :)

mmmmm, snowy goodness :)

(above: see how caked the snow gets on Betty when she plays in it?! She has to get a warm bath afterwards to get it off. But the thing is, she wants to play in the snow ANY chance she gets!! So when it snows around here, I know to get the bath towels ready for her. )

(above: I just couldn't resist :) Love you honey!!

Arthur & Dexter | Pet Photography

Just days before Joel and I's wedding, I spent a lovely evening with an old friend, her husband, and her crazy puppy dogs. Morgan and I met in the 8th grade, back in Kingwood, Texas, and ended up being head editors together of our high school's yearbook our senior year! And I'll tell you what, for it's time, that yearbook kicked some major butt. After going through ACU's graphic design program, and what I know about photography now, that yearbook isn't looking so hot. I mean, our school's colors were 2 shades of blue, so of course the cover was blue. NOT. We thought it'd be brilliant to make it SEAFOAM GREEN. Ahhhhh. We will never live that one down. Oh yearbook. :)

Anyways, Morgan and Ethan had me over for dinner and lots of catching up. It'd been years since I'd seen her! It's such a great feeling to reconnect with friends you haven't seen for a while. I thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks again for having me over!

I'll leave you with this. Meet Arthur and Dexter. These two are The Mooney's little pooches. Sweet little treasures. Dexter is the little black one, and Arthur is the brown and white one.

above: love this one for some reason :) i can't pinpoint it.

It was so good seeing you again Morgan! Let's do it again next time we're in Houston! :)
