Laurel & Ethan | Strong Mansion Wedding Photographer

"Laurel is never the first to end a hug. She will just keep on hugging you til you stop first." This phrase from Laurel's new mother-in-law's toast says so much about her. In fact, everyone had such warm and loving things to share about Laurel and Ethan that evening. The love under that tent just overflowed! It. was. AWESOME.

Trish & Hans | Woodlawn Manor Wedding

I've been waiting what feels like forever to share this one with you :) Trish and Hans got married last fall in October when the weather was just right. Everything about their day was just perfect, and that's exactly how I remember it. The breeze, the emotions, the intense amount of love that was poured out by everyone there, the timeline, the dress, the getaway car...everything. I mean, I couldn't have dreamed up a better wedding day than this one. It was one of those days I just didn't want to be over yet! And that's saying a lot because this was the third wedding I'd shot that weekend! By that time, my feet should be falling clear off my body, hehe. Aaaaand, Joel was there with me! It was the last wedding we'd shot together up until now, so I hold it dear :)

Prepare yourself for sweet details and loving friends.

I L-O-V-E-D this day. I hope you do too.

Kalena & Joe | Saint Leonard, Maryland Wedding

I was watching a movie with my inlaws the evening before Kalena and Joe's wedding, when all of a sudden the power went out...and stayed out well into the next day. East coasters, you remember that freak storm at the end of June? Yep. That's the one. I couldn't help but think about Kalena and Joe when we lost power, knowing they had already set up most of the details for their wedding that would be the next day...including the tent, tables, chairs, ceremony area, and even the DJ booth with equipement. Yiiiiiikes. You should've seen how everyone came together to clean up after the storm and make sure the wedding day still went on without a hitch. And that it did! Besides being one of the hottest days I've been outside since I don't know when, it was such a perfect day for a wedding! You really should have seen the evening sky that day. It was insaaaaane :)

Julia & AJ | Hollywood, MD Wedding Photographer

Magnolias. I've always known I had a love for the scent of a magnolia tree. They're just so beautiful and fragrant; not to mention the huge blooms scattered on the trees. Upon arrival at the venue, Joel and I stepped into the reception tent to take a look around. I remember immediately stopping in my tracks just to take a deep breath in. Magnolias!! The entire tent was filled with the fragrance of magnolias! Julia had used them in her centerpieces! Oh my goodness. My nose was in heaven :)
