Lindsey & Eric | Dallas, TX Engagement

Texas, you make me smile.

Meet Lindsey and Eric. Talk about wonderful! Lindsey and I were trying to figure out when we should meet for the session, being it was going to be extremely COLD in the morning. Well, she quickly replied with, "we'll tough it out! Whatever it takes!" Perfect. So we started bright and early. It was pretty chilly for the first half hour or so, but the weather quickly turned out to be one of those perfect Texas days. Blue skies, white puffy clouds, cool breeze...oh yum. I just ate it up!! 

Lindsey and Eric meet at ACU, and are tying the knot this coming June! Oh I can't wait! Eric is currently in a 3-year Bible grad program ACU, and wants to become a preacher. Lindsey just graduated with a degree in interior design and is working in Abilene. What I love about this couple is that they are so comfortable with each other and willing to try anything. And get this, they love to go rock climbing! Talk about a fun hobby to have together :)

I'd like to give a HUGE thanks to Crate & Barrel for allowing us to end our session in their store! After many phone calls and "talking to all the right people," the idea came through full force! S-C-O-R-E! And who doesn't love this place? Ah, welcome to the dream store. I wish I owned everything in there.

Rachel & Jon | Dallas, TX Engagement

Yesterday i had the great pleasure of meeting rachel and jon in dallas. Jon is an infantryman in the marine corps currently stationed in california, and rachel will be here in the dallas area until they get married! I'm so glad this shoot worked out because jon is going back to california on monday to then be deployed to afghanistan for 7 months. So while he's over there, rachel will be taking care of all the wedding details leading up to their big day!

When they told me about the proposal, i just loved it! Rachel was visiting jon in california on spring break and she was pretty convinced she was leaving with a ring. By the end of the trip it still hadn't happened, then they took a walk on the beach. Jon took her to a cliff that over looks the ocean, and when she looked below, carved out in the sand jon had dug out earlier in the day, "marry me!" With that said, they plan on a beautiful beach wedding in cali :)

Leslie & Jake | Dallas, TX Engagement

This last Sunday I met up with Leslie and Jake for shoot in Dallas! We were hoping for some sunshine so we could use the buildings downtown to get that gorgeous reflecting light, but it was cloudy until the last 30 minutes of our session! I think it worked out well though :) Anyways, you might recognize a few of the locations from this shoot, we just couldn't resist!

I met Leslie through the interior design program at ACU, then she transfered to Texas Women's to study nursing, and now she's studying art history! Yay! Her and Jake have been dating for 6 years and are getting married in November. Ah, love a good fall wedding. Get this, the reception is going to be held in an old 40s ballroom! Gorgeous!! I had such a good time with this couple, they were so comfortable with each other! It made my job really easy :) Well thanks for letting me take your photos, I hope you enjoy!

I was thrilled to see them both with chucks on! We share a mutual love for them :)
