Lindsey & Eric | Dallas, TX Engagement

Texas, you make me smile.

Meet Lindsey and Eric. Talk about wonderful! Lindsey and I were trying to figure out when we should meet for the session, being it was going to be extremely COLD in the morning. Well, she quickly replied with, "we'll tough it out! Whatever it takes!" Perfect. So we started bright and early. It was pretty chilly for the first half hour or so, but the weather quickly turned out to be one of those perfect Texas days. Blue skies, white puffy clouds, cool breeze...oh yum. I just ate it up!! 

Lindsey and Eric meet at ACU, and are tying the knot this coming June! Oh I can't wait! Eric is currently in a 3-year Bible grad program ACU, and wants to become a preacher. Lindsey just graduated with a degree in interior design and is working in Abilene. What I love about this couple is that they are so comfortable with each other and willing to try anything. And get this, they love to go rock climbing! Talk about a fun hobby to have together :)

I'd like to give a HUGE thanks to Crate & Barrel for allowing us to end our session in their store! After many phone calls and "talking to all the right people," the idea came through full force! S-C-O-R-E! And who doesn't love this place? Ah, welcome to the dream store. I wish I owned everything in there.

Jana & Justin | Abilene, TX Engagement

During finals week, I had the pleasure to take my roommate and her fiance's engagement pictures! The weather was a little cloudy, it had been for the past week, but we still had a great time! Jana and Justin are getting married this summer in belton, tx on August 1, 2009, and i'm one of her bridesmaids! yay! it's going to be such a beautiful wedding, i can't wait! You both have an amazing future ahead of you! I wish you both the very best in your upcoming marriage! :)

Finals Week | Personal

I love finals week. Let me back up a bit. I love finals week being an art major. Finals week for me has always consisted of lots of projects and maybe one written final for a class that's not in the art department. But it does require a lot of work outside of class before the final, just not studying! I can't remember the last time I really studied hard for a test. :) 

So needless to say, these photos are for my digital photography class final....or let me say, my "experimental photography" class. The name was actually changed to that after a class discussion yesterday. Yay Nil! Anyways, the assignment was extremely open to anything, so here's what I came up with. I basically wanted to capture tons of expressions from a single person and be able to see them all at once. I love how they turned out! I really think you can see the personality in each individual really come out in the photos! Let me know what you think!

After our session, Savy and I both went out of town; me to houston and her to dallas. When I arrived home, I found the loveliest surprise awaiting me! She brought me Sprinkles cupcakes from Dallas! How sweet! It was perfect! If you haven't had cupcakes from here, you haven't lived. I've posted before about Sprinkles' goodness. So anyone wanting a session, personally delivered cupcakes from Sprinkles are a huge incentive :)

My Roomate Got ENGAGED! | Personal

So last wednesday was a big day in our apartment. Jana's boyfriend (now fiance!) planned a big night ending with a proposal! It was so sweet! Justin sent her to places around town that are special to them both and planted people at each spot to give her a note from him. She went to about 5 or 6 places and ended back at our apartment to a lovely dinner for 2 and a proposal she couldn't refuse! I couldn't be happier for the 2 of you! I'm so excited to see what's to come in your lives! i love you both! :)
