When Friends Come To Visit | Personal

I don't know how I got such a sweet friend. I know you've seen her on the blog before, but if you haven't, I'm pleased to introduce my friend, Rachel! We met in Virginia a couple months after Joel and I first moved there, and have been friends ever since. Well, she just left last week from her second visit with us here in TX! She came down to shoot a wedding with me, then we used the rest of our time together to catch up, make some cake pops, watch New Girl, go shopping, and explore Houston :)

Annie & Nolen | Houston, TX Engagement Photographer

Annie and Nolen are the perfect example of "those who play together, stay together." You'll see exactly what I mean as you scroll through their session :) We met up in the morning and had to quickly go to our plan B for the session, thanks to unavoidable road construction blocking our route to the park! After that minor hiccup, we strolled through the museum disctrict and laughed more than I thought possible so early in the morning :P

After meeting with Kaitlyn and her mom for coffee just days before the wedding, I left with so much excitement for the weekend ahead! I was told of soft pinks, a gorgeous courtyard, and an extrememly special wedding dress. Kaitlyn got married in her mother's wedding gown, which was lovingly altered by her grandmother. Wait til you see it; total stunner :)

Carrie & John | Amber Springs Wedding Photographer

As soon as I arrived, I was greeted with the warm, welcoming faces of Carrie's sweet bridesmaids; Who, after meeting Carrie for their engagements, I can see why they're all friends! Such a great group, and a perfect start to Carrie and John's wedding day. They did a first look to kick off the day, and then we tromped into the trees...which we soon found out was a little wet in places. But that didn't stop Carrie and John from wanting their photos there and I'm soooo glad for that! I couldn't stop swooning at the back of my camera! EEEE! Love when that happens!
